Murcia airport

San Javier Airport

San Javier Airport is originally a military air base and is currently being used as a civilian airport (maintained and controlled by AENA which is the Spanish Airport Authority). The runway is smaller than the one of Alicante and therefore is only available to smaller passenger planes like a Boeing 737 or similar.

The Airport is about 50 km away from the capital of the province Murcia which is about 25 minutes thanks to the highway connecting Murcia and the Mar Menor.
